What happens when we bring the body back into rooms built around ideas?

We spend much of our working lives sitting, talking, presenting, analysing and looking at screens.

But we're not just minds. We're bodies, too.

K Dance Lab explores what becomes possible when movement enters environments where it isn't usually part of the conversation.

What I do

Two ways to bring movement in.

Whether it's a room full of colleagues or a room full of strangers, I create experiences that get people out of their usual rhythm and into something they can actively take part in.

01

Movement as a working method.

Guided movement experiences that invite teams to pay attention, respond to one another built for the room you're actually in.

Why movement

Five things it does that talking alone can't.

Connect

Meet people beyond the usual small talk.

Communicate

Explore what we communicate before we say a word.

Shift attention

Wake up the body and change the energy of a room.

Create

Break habitual patterns, make space for new ideas.

Collaborate

Experience coordination, trust and responsiveness rather than simply discussing them.

K Dance Lab is for environments where movement isn't usually part of the conversation. That's exactly why it belongs there.

Movement at TechBBQ 2026

What happens when a technology conference gets people moving?

At TechBBQ 2026, K Dance Lab brought a short shared movement experience to the Diversity Lounge — inviting people to step away from the usual conference format and reconnect through movement.

Portrait of Karolina, founder of K Dance Lab

Hi, I'm Karolina.

I'm a movement artist, facilitator and host creating experiences for events, companies and creative spaces.

I'm interested in the space between dance, communication, creativity and human connection — and especially in what happens when movement leaves the studio and enters places where people don't expect to find it.

That's why I bring movement into tech conferences, workplaces, research environments and innovation spaces; and design, facilitate and host experiences that make people actually participate. I'm building K Dance Lab around a simple idea:

The body is not separate from the way we think, work and connect.

Let's move
something.

Have a conference that needs a reset?
A team that needs a different kind of experience?
A research group curious about embodied communication?
An organisation wondering what movement could unlock?
